Najma Heptulla wishes Indian Olympic contingent
Manipur Governor Dr. Najma Heptulla has conveyed her best wishes to the 119 (67 male and 52 female) Indian athletes competing in 85 medal events at the Tokyo Olympic Games, beginning July 23.
The Governor has also expressed the nation’s pride for those who have represented India in the Olympics over the years. The Governor specially extended his best wishes to the five Olympic athletes of Imphal, MC Mary Kom (Boxing), Sushila Likambam (Judo), Pukhrambam Sushila Chanu (Hockey), Sangalakpam Neelkanth Sharma (Hockey) and Saikhom Mirabai Chanu (Weightlifting).
It is noteworthy that out of these five athletes, four are women. The Governor has conveyed best wishes to all the athletes for their stupendous success in their respective sports.
