Rupee slips by three paise

The rupee slipped by three paise to 74.57 per dollar in the inter-banking currency market today due to softness in the stock market despite the dollar softening against the world’s major currencies. The rupee was at 74.54 per dollar on the previous day.

Rupee opened flat at 74.54 per dollar today. During the session, it rose to an all-time high of Rs 74.51 per dollar. However, due to the subsequent pressure, it fell to a low of Rs 74.66 per dollar. In the end, it fell by 3 paise to Rs 74.57 per dollar compared to the previous day.
