The role of Toofan made me strong, confident : Mrunal Thakur

Actress Mrunal Thakur is happy to work with National Award winning filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in the boxing drama Toofan. The film also stars Farhan Akhtar. He says that playing Ananya in the film has given him confidence and strength. Mrunal is overwhelmed to work with Mehra, whose Rang De Basanti won her a National Film Award as well as a BAFTA nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, who also produced Bhaag Milkha Bhaag among other films.

Mrunal said, I think this is one of the most stormy moments for me. This is my fourth film and I got a chance to work with Rakesh sir.

The actress quipped, “I think all other actresses are jealous and I consider myself lucky.
He said that I have learned a lot. Ananya (her character) has made Mrunal strong and confident, and as a human being too I feel that I am the catalyst when it comes to my family.
Toofan is the story of a boxer played by Farhan Akhtar, who pushes his limits and works hard to win.
