Uttarakhand / Haridwar : The resolve to protect nature is the meaning of Harela: Baba Hathayogi

On the occasion of Harela festival, Bairagi saints planted saplings at Shri Ramanand Ashram located in Shravanath Nagar and wished for the prosperity of the state. During this, Baba Hathayogi Digambar Maharaj said that Harela, the folk festival of Uttarakhand, also gives the message of establishing harmony with culture and nature. But Uttarakhand, full of natural wealth, has also been affected by the cutting of trees in the name of development and other needs. Therefore, along with celebrating Harela as a festival, one has to take a pledge to conserve nature on this day. That is the significance of this festival. While congratulating everyone on Harela, Shri Mahant Vishnudas Maharaj and Mahant Raghuveer Das Maharaj said that everyone must plant a sapling. Along with planting a tree, it should also be protected till it becomes a tree. Mahant Premdas Maharaj, President of Ramanand Ashram said that indiscriminate exploitation of nature in the name of increasing material needs and development has created very difficult conditions for human life. In Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture, education has been given to live life in harmony with nature. But due to the influence of western culture, the consequences of destroying nature have started coming to the fore. Recently, in the second wave of corona, a large number of people died untimely due to lack of oxygen. Which is very sad. But there is also a lesson for the future that nature has to be conserved. He said that awareness about environment has increased among the people. Every person must plant a plant in life. On this occasion Mahant Premdas, Mahant Bihari Sharan, Mahant Ankit Sharan, Mahant Raghuvir Das, Yogi Ganeshdas, Mahant Durgadas, Mahant Sumit Das, Mahant Surajdas, Mahant Prahlad Das, Swami Hariharanand, Swami Dineshdas, Mahant Hitesh Das, Mahant Govinddas Mahant Santdas, Mahant etc. saints were present.
