Uttarakhand / New Tehri : Under the leadership of DM, massive plantation on the dumping zone of Kotigad

Tree plantation campaign was carried out on a large scale across the district with enthusiasm on the occasion of Harela festival. Under the leadership of DM Eva Srivastava, a huge plantation was done on the dumping zone of village Kotigad on Sule Gad and Chamba Uttarkashi motor road under Saklana range. On this occasion, DM Eva said that tree plantation should be made a part of his life. Ensure your contribution in bringing greenery by planting more and more plants under Harela. In Seul, 1100 plants of different species of fodder leaf and fruit have been planted and 450 plants were planted in the dumping zone Kotigad. Whereas at the Tehsil level, the plantation programs were carried out with enthusiasm under the leadership of the concerned SDM and BDO at the block level. In which the officers-employees and the general public participated in a large scale and celebrated the Harela festival with great pomp by planting saplings. DM Eva said that under the Henwal River Rejuvenation Scheme, water resources conservation works have been done in Seul Gad. Plantation around which will help in increasing the water level in the Hanwal river. At the same time, plantation will be done on the dumping zone land created by the widening of national highways. Due to which water conservation and natural beauty will also increase and these gardens will also become a center of attraction for tourists. CDO Namami Bansal, DFO Dr. Coco Rosay, SDM Ravindra Juwantha, PD Anand Bhakuni, DDO Sunil Kumar, Block Chief Chamba Shivani Bisht and many officials and local people participated in the plantation program organized on Harela festival.
