Priyadarshan will make a comedy film with Akshay Kumar, shooting will start in the year 2022

Noted filmmaker Priyadarshan has revealed that he will start shooting for a comedy film with Akshay Kumar next year in 2022. Prior to this, the pair of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan worked on comedy films like ‘Hera Pheri’ series, ‘Garam Masala’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ in the 2000s.

Priyadarshan said that he was supposed to start the film with Akshay Kumar this year, but the project went ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic. He said, ‘We were supposed to start shooting for it this year, but it got delayed. It is purely a comedy film and now we are planning to start shooting for it early next year.

Priyadarshan shared a picture with Kumar from the sets of Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Priyadarshan said that he met Akshay Kumar to discuss his upcoming project.
Priyadarshan is currently awaiting the release of his next film Hungama 2, which is slated to release on the OTT platform on 23 July. The film is a sequel to his 2003 hit comedy film of the same name. Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meejan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash will be seen in the film.
