Uttarakhand / Vikas Nagar : Youth took out rally against drug

Villagers were made aware about the ill-effects of drugs by taking out a rally on Sunday in Timli village of Pachhwadoon.

The rally, which started from the village panchayat building, passed through the entire village and reached the panchayat building. The youth said that the drug trade is flourishing rapidly in the villages bordering Uttar Pradesh. Youth must unite to stop drug trade. Said that a person who is addicted to drugs creates problems for the family as well as the society. The society in which the tendency of drugs increases, that society becomes hollow. Said that intoxication causes social distortions. This leads to the disintegration of families as well as the downfall of society. Young people are getting addicted to drugs by falling into wrong associations. Therefore, to stop the growing business of drugs, the local people will have to cooperate with the administration. The youth said that there would be a social boycott of the drug dealers in the village. The youth who have fallen into addiction will be sent to the rehab centre. So that they can get rid of their addiction. The elders of the village will also have to cooperate with the youth. Efforts have to be made to remove the addicted members of the family from this addiction. All the youths involved in the rally took a pledge to make the village drug free. Yuva Mangal Dal President Akram Ansari, former President Nafees Ahmed, Harun, Sajid, Nazir, Aashiq, Maulana Sabir, Arshad, Faizan etc. were present in the rally.
