The car of the couple, resident of Gurgaon near Bajoon in Nainital, was hit by a boulder that fell from the hill. The husband died in the accident, while the wife has been referred to Haldwani in a critical condition. On Tuesday, due to the closure of 347 roads in the state, life came to a standstill from mountain to plain.
According to Shanti Kumar, Kotwal of Champawat, at around 2.45 pm on Tuesday, suddenly a large amount of debris and water from a hill about 30 meters high came on the NH in Banlekh village. Due to the debris, the canter and car parked on the NH got absorbed in the drain about ten meters deep. Khim Singh (41) son Dev Singh, resident Baida, Gurna Pithoragarh, Priya (37) wife Khim Singh, Tanisha (13), Karan (11) and Naira (2) were admitted to the district hospital in the accident. Was done.

On information, the villagers started searching for the woman but she could not be traced. Hanumant Talwar (56) and Hema Talwar, residents of 21/530 Heritage City, MG Road, Gurugram (Haryana) in Nainital, were coming to Nainital to roam in a private car. At around 5 pm, a huge boulder from the mountain near Bajoon on the Kaladhungi-Nainital road fell on the Talwar couple’s car. Hanumant died on the spot in the accident, while Meena has been referred to Haldwani in a critical condition.
