After Ladakh, China will do snow in Uttarakhand?
Since last year, China, which is engaged in a military confrontation with India in Ladakh, has started increasing activities in other areas as well. Movement of Chinese troops has been seen near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Barhoti area of Uttarakhand. Recently, a platoon of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has been seen here. All this is happening at a time when the foreign ministers of both the countries have met recently and they have reiterated the need to resolve the dispute through dialogue.
Sources told ANI, “Recently a platoon (around 35 soldiers) showed up near Barhoti area of Uttarakhand and they surveyed there. After a long time, activities of Chinese troops have been seen in this area. ” Sources said that the presence of Chinese troops in the area was constantly monitored. He also told that the Indian side has also made adequate arrangements here.
Sources said that the defense establishments are of the view that the Chinese may attempt some activities in this area, but India’s operational preparedness in the central sector is very high. CDS Vipin Rawat and Central Army Chief Lt. Gen Y Dimri also recently visited the sector and took stock of the preparedness.
Sources say that Chinese activities have also increased at an airbase near Barhoti. Here he has deployed a large number of drones. India has also deployed additional troops here and some have been sent to the forward areas. The Indian Air Force has also activated some air bases including Chinyalisaur, where AN-32s are continuously landing. Chinook helicopters are also deployed which can move troops from one valley to another if needed.
