Himachal Pradesh / Shimla : A young man died due to a pickup falling in Khaltu

Sanjay’s life could have been saved if there was a parfait or a crashbarrier in the road

Shimla . A pickup laden with ration rolled over at Khaltu on the Jaghed-Piran-Chalanda road in the Junga area at around 6.30 pm. In which one person died on the spot while the driver saved his life by jumping. According to the police, the pickup HP-16-1947 was carrying luggage from the nuclear weapon. Ahead of the Nariga bridge on the border of Sirmaur, the car fell down about one hundred meters in Khaltu, in which Sanjay Dutt (32 ) son of Bhimdat resident Bhajji Sarsu Pachhad Sirmaur died on the spot, while Vikas Sharma, the driver of Ghajion, jumped from the car. Former head Atar Singh Thakur informed the police about the accident. Even before the police arrived, the local people took out Sanjay Dutt’s body from under the car and brought it to the road. As soon as the news of the accident was received, the head of Peeran Panchayat Kiran Sharma reached the spot and consoled the family members of the deceased. ASI Junga Mohinder Singh said that the body of Sanjay Dutt, who died in the accident, has been handed over to the family members after conducting post-mortem in IGMC. He said that a case under sections 279 and 304A of the IPC has been registered at the police station Dhali. According to Naib Tehsildar Junga Lalit Saklani, an amount of ten thousand rupees has been provided to the kin of the deceased as immediate relief.

According to district BJP member Pritam Thakur, Sanjay Dutt’s life could have been saved had the parafits been installed on the road. According to sources, the deceased has left behind his wife and two children. Many BJP office-bearers including BJP leader Vijay Jyoti Sen, Kasumpti BJP Mandal President Jitendra Bhotka, General Secretary Pawan Kumar have expressed deep grief over this accident and sent their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
