Brisbane Olympics in 2032 will encourage Australia: Scott Morrison
Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison has described Brisbane’s successful bid to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games as “great and encouraging” for the country.
In fact, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) this evening granted the right to host the Olympic Games in 2032 to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland in northeastern Australia. Brisbane will become the third Australian city to host the Olympics, after Melbourne in 1956 and Sydney in 2000.
The Prime Minister said in a statement, “The IOC’s decision will boost the morale of more than 13 million Australian citizens currently in lockdown to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.” It is a great thing for the country to host the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane and South East Chinaland. At a time when the corona pandemic has created a difficult situation in the country, especially in the southern states, getting Brisbane to host the Olympics will give a huge boost to the people. There will be many kids who are doing their training at Valley Pool in Brisbane and across the country this morning, who may be able to compete in the Olympic Games held in Australia. This is a huge impetus for Australian sport.
