Naidu pays tribute to Bal Gangadhar Tilak
Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has paid tribute to freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his birth anniversary.
In a message issued here on Friday, Naidu said that today is the birth anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who shaped the Indian independence movement. He was a dedicated patriot, scholar and fearless journalist. The generations to come will always be inspired by him.
In his message, Naidu also mentioned this famous quote of Bal Gangadhar Tilak – ‘Swaraj is my birthright, I will have it’.
On the birth anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, the Vice President said, Regards to the inspiration of the nation’s colossal hero! After attaining Swaraj, it is the duty of every countryman to convert it into Suraj. This will be our true tribute to Lokmanya Tilak.
