The works of the parade ground will be completed before August 15
The city’s historic parade ground will be ready for the main event of August 15 (Independence Day). The ongoing construction works at the Parade Ground will be completed before August 15. Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama and MLA Rajpur Road Khajan Das gave this information during the inspection of the ongoing Smart City works at Parade Ground. He also inspected the smart toilets made in the Parade Ground. On Friday, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama and Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das along with CEO of Smart City Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava inspected the ongoing Smart City works at Parade Ground. During this, Ashish Srivastava introduced the Mayor and the MLA about the ongoing works in the Parade Ground. Dr. Srivastava informed that about 50 percent work of Smart City has been completed in Parade Ground. Except for the work of rainwater harvesting, all other works will be completed before August 15. During the inspection, the Mayor and the MLA expressed satisfaction with the works of the Smart City. Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama said that the works of Parade Ground would be completed before August 15. The main event of August 15 will be held at the Parade Ground itself.
During the inspection, Ashish Srivastava told that a cycle track is being built at the parade ground. Here people can also bring their cycles and ride, those who will not bring their cycles, they will be provided cycles here. For this they will be charged. Ashish Srivastava told that a garden of stones will be made in the parade ground. For this, the process of getting stones from Rajasthan is going on. Apart from this, a selfie point will also be made in the parade ground. Where visitors can come and take selfies. Told that ‘Ashok ki Lat’ will be installed in the parade ground. It is being imported from Rajasthan. MLA Khajan Das also demanded to hoist the tricolor at the Parade Ground. He also talked about giving money from his MLA fund in case of budget crunch.
Shifting of trees will be done with modern technology: Ashish Srivastava said that the trees standing around the parade ground will not be cut, but they will be lifted and shifted inside along with the roots. This will keep the parade ground green. The overhead tank built in the parade ground will be repaired. The culture of Uttarakhand will be depicted on it.
Roads are sitting due to haste in works: On the question of seating tile of Smart City road in Paltan Bazar, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama said that due to haste to complete the work, complaints are being received about the road sitting. Work is being done to improve them.
