After incessant rain for the past few days, the humidity increased due to bright sunshine throughout the day on Friday. However, people felt relief due to rain at some places late in the evening. At the same time, there was a lot of rain in Dehradun in the afternoon amidst the forecast of light to moderate rain in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Due to which on one hand there was relief from the heat, on the other hand many areas of the city were waterlogged.
Due to the rains, the process of closure of roads in the state continues. 150 roads were opened on Saturday. But still 220 routes are closed. On Saturday, the Badrinath National Highway was again blocked for nine hours due to heavy rain and debris in Chamdhar. Which was opened for traffic around 1.30 pm. The Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway is also closed at Sirohbagad.

At the same time, on the Lohaghat-Pithoragarh all-weather motor road, there was devastation due to the rock cracking near Bhartoli. In the rubble of the rock, the government panchayat houses, trees and fields have been destroyed. At the same time, many houses have come under threat. Due to this there is panic among the villagers. The team of Revenue Department under the leadership of Naib Tehsildar has left for the spot.
In Champawat, the traffic has stopped due to the hill crossing near Swanla in the National Highway. Here the hill is cracking without rain. The road here is covered with debris. One person was injured after debris fell on the Alto car near Swanla on Saturday. After first aid, he was admitted to the district hospital.
