Huge stone fell on the bridge from the mountain in Himachal Pradesh, 9 tourists died
A terrible landslide has occurred in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. 9 tourists have lost their lives in the accident. All these tourists were from Delhi NCR. In Kinnaur’s Sangla Valley, suddenly stones started falling from the top of the hill and while coming to the river flowing below, their speed became so fast that they also broke the iron bridge built on the river. Many tourists nearby also came in the grip of this incident of falling of heavy boulders and stones. Three of them are in critical condition. After the heavy rains in the last few days, incidents of landslides are coming to the fore in many districts of Himachal Pradesh but this is the worst. Nearby houses, apple orchards and parked vehicles were also damaged by the stones.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the incident. The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted, ‘The accident due to landslide in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh is extremely sad. My heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this. Full arrangements are being made for the treatment of those injured in the accident. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Kinnaur SP Saju Ram Rana said that all the victims are tourists whose vehicles collided with the boulders. All the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital. He said that a team of doctors has reached the spot.
