SP and forensic team reached the spot to investigate

The body of a female constable posted in Mangalpur police station was found hanging in her room on Sunday morning with the help of a noose. On the information of fellow female constable, along with the police force of Mangalpur police station, SP and forensic team reached the spot to investigate. The relatives of the constable, originally from Muzaffar Nagar, have been informed over the phone.

Sakshi Balian (23), a female constable of 2019 batch, a resident of Muzaffar Nagar, was posted at Mangalpur police station in Kanpur countryside. She used to stay in a rented room at a distance of two-three hundred meters from the police station. Along with him, Saloni, a female constable posted in the police station, also lived. Saloni told that after having dinner at 11 o’clock she slept. During this, Saloni went towards another room while talking to someone. When she woke up in the morning, the body of the witness was hanging on the window with the help of a dupatta. The feet were touching the ground till the knee. Forensic team was called to the spot for investigation. SP Kanpur Dehat Keshav Kumar Choudhary said that in the preliminary investigation, it seems a case of suicide. No suicide note was found during the investigation. The police is now trying to find out the reason behind the suicide by doing other investigations including the constable’s call details.
