Andaman and Nicobar Command celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas

Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26 July 2021 at Birchganj Military Station to commemorate India’s victory during the 1999 Kargil War. The Wreath Laying Ceremony by a Joint-Service Guard comprising all constituents of the ANC was organized to pay tribute to the martyred heroes of the Kargil War, who made the supreme sacrifice while upholding the highest traditions of the Armed Forces. Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) Lt Gen Ajay Singh laid a wreath to honor the bravehearts. Veterans of the three services residing in Andaman and Nicobar Islands were also invited for the ceremony. The Commander-in-Chief also interacted with the soldiers. He called for solidarity among the armed forces and for them to be ready at all times, saying it gives them an instant advantage on the battlefield. The COVID-19 protocol measures were followed by all the personnel present in the program.
