Himachal Pradesh / Solan : Shaurya Diwas celebrated in Kunihar, remembering the martyrdom of Bankurs in the battle of Kargil

Kunihar : Remembering the martyrdom of the Ranbankurs of Kargil war, today was celebrated as Shaurya Diwas in development block Kunihar. Block Development Officer Kunihar Pushpa Kumari presided over the program. On this occasion the retired army personnel of development block Kunihar were felicitated.

The Block Development Officer expressed gratitude to all the retired jawans for reaching the program organized on Kargil Shaurya Diwas and paid tribute to those battlefields of Kargil War which lasted for 60 days.

During this, Major Surendra Pal, the hero who fought against Pakistan for 60 days in the battle of Kargil, shared the Kargil battle with everyone. At the same time, Chet Ram, the hero of the 1962 war and Sohan Lal, who participated in the 1971 war, shared the memories of that war with everyone.

At the end of the program, the Block Development Officer expressed his heartfelt gratitude for reaching the program with moist eyes and being overwhelmed by the moments shared by these retired army heroes. On this occasion Block Development Officer Pushpa Kumari, Superintendent Kedar Nath Pandey, Panchayat Inspector Ratna Singh Negi, LSEO Balwinder Kaur and about 20 retired soldiers of Kunihar area were present.
