Uttarakhand : Chief Secretary Dr. Sandhu reviewed Kedarnath reconstruction works

Portal based monitoring should be done: Chief Secretary

Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu reviewed the Kedarnath reconstruction works at the Secretariat on Monday. During this, he directed the officers to speed up the works. He directed to ensure the adequacy of man power, machinery and material required to speed up the works. He said that the achievement should be reviewed regularly by setting weekly targets to speed up the works. He also directed to conduct portal based monitoring.

Weekly target and achievement based monitoring should be done: Chief Secretary Dr. Sandhu prepared the portal and instructed to do regular portal based monitoring in the next one or two days. He said that the information about the decisions to be taken in the meetings should be uploaded on the portal on the same day and sent to the concerned also on the same day so that no work is interrupted due to lack of information about the decisions. The Chief Secretary, while preparing a list of all the necessary spare parts for the machinery engaged in construction works, also directed to ensure their availability in advance, so that the work is not interrupted due to lack of spare parts. He also directed to conduct the meeting of necessary approval committees at the earliest.

No compromise on quality: Chief Secretary said that special care should be taken of quality along with speed in works. He directed that the quality should not be compromised in any way. Tasks that can be parallelized to expedite tasks should be done. He directed the officers to come to the meetings with the problems being faced in the work and their solutions, so that quick decisions can be taken.
On this occasion Principal Secretary Shri R. Of. Sudhanshu, Shri Arvind Singh Hyanki, Shri Dilip Jawalkar and Commissioner Garhwal Shri Ravinath Raman along with other senior officers including District Magistrate of the concerned district were present.
