Reliance has given 10 lakh vaccines of COVID to employees, now it will also give 10 lakh vaccines to common people
Reliance Industries has so far got more than one million free vaccines administered under the industry’s largest vaccination program. These vaccines have been devised under Reliance’s ‘Mission Vaccine Suraksha’. The company will increase the campaign of COVID Vaccine in the country by providing an additional 10 lakh vaccines to the common people. At the company’s annual general meeting last month, Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita M Ambani had pledged to vaccinate the general public.
He said, implementing this mission on a nationwide basis is a huge task but it is our religion, our duty to every Indian, our promise of safety and security. We firmly believe that together, we can, and we will come out of it.
Reliance has set up 171 centers across the country for vaccination. Reliance Foundation will now inject an additional 10 lakh doses through the NGO. These will be deployed to the people near the plant and to the general public.
One million doses of the vaccine have been administered under Mission Vaccine Suraksha. 98 percent of the company’s employees have received at least one dose of the vaccine. The employees of the company and their family members come under the ambit of corona vaccination. Apart from this, the company is also providing immunization to off-roll employees, their family members, retired employees and their family members completely free of cost.
Reliance Foundation is working on many fronts to stop COVID . In this, so much oxygen is being produced free of cost for one lakh patients. Along with this, he has also taken up the responsibility of maintaining 2000 COVID care beds across the country. The foundation also provided 7.5 crore meals to those affected by Corona. Reliance has contributed significantly to the country’s total CSR expenditure of four per cent during 2019-20.
