Olympics (Badminton): Sindhu registers easy win

India’s PV Sindhu defeated Hong Kong’s Cheung Gan Yi 2-0 in a one-sided fashion in the group stage bout of badminton women’s singles event at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics here.
India’s PV Sindhu defeated Cheung 21-9, 21-16 in a match that lasted 35 minutes. With this Sindhu won both her matches of the group stage. Sindhu has ensured a place in the knockout stage after this win.
Sindhu had earlier defeated Polikarpova Ksenia of Israel 21-7, 21-10 in her first match.
