Boxer Lovlina reached the semi-finals by defeating Nien Chin Chen of Chinese Taipei, India’s second medal assured

Indian women’s boxer Lovlina Borgohain has assured India’s second medal at the Tokyo Olympics. She has reached the semi-finals of the welterweight category (64-69kg). With this, at least his bronze medal has been confirmed. In the charter final match, Lovlina defeated Nien Chin Chen of Chinese Taipei 4-1. She got a bye in the first round, while she defeated 35-year-old German boxer Nedine Apetz 3-2 in the round of 16. At the same time, in the semi-finals, Lovlina will now face the number one seed Turkish boxer.

Against the boxer from Chinese Taipei, Lovlina won her first round 3–2. After this, in the second round, the decision of the five judges went in the favor of Lovlina. In the third round, the Chinese Taipei boxer tried hard to make a comeback but Lovlina rued the Chinese Taipei boxer’s attacks with her better defense. This was Lovlina’s fourth fight against the Chinese Taipei boxer. In the previous 3 matches, she had lost against the boxer of Chinese Taipei every time. But in the ring of the Tokyo Olympics, he changed the course of history.

Lovlina, who confirmed the Olympic medal for India, later chose boxing. Earlier she wanted to become a kick boxer. Just like he had two older sisters. Lovlina’s two elder sisters, Lima and Licha, are kickboxers. But, later he turned to boxing in search of an opportunity. In Barpatahar High School, she held a boxing trial, in which Lovlina participated. In this trial, all eyes fell on Lovlina and she was selected. Lovlina started boxing training from the year 2012.

Earlier in the 57 kg category, another Indian woman boxer Simranjit Kaur presented her claim. In the round of 32 match, Simran of India had to face defeat at the hands of the experienced boxer of Thailand. This was Simran’s first match in the Tokyo Olympics. He also made his Olympic debut with this match. Simranjit is the first boxer from Punjab to participate in the Olympics.

Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. Earlier it seemed that the woman died due to burning in the fire but the investigation revealed the case of murder. In such a situation, today the police has arrested him. Murdered mother when he did not get money for drugs The next day of the incident, the husband of the deceased, Sanjay Singh, while giving a complaint to the police, told that his son Manmohan Singh used to live with his mother. He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
