Proposed Delhi-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor to pass through Gurugram

Preparations have started regarding the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the High Speed Rail Corridor, about 872 km long, from Delhi to Ahmedabad.
Regarding this proposed project, National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited held public discussion with the people of Gurugram district interested in environmental and social issues in which Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district Vishram Kumar Meena and Deputy Team Leader of the project Vijay Sharma were also present. This corridor will start from Dwarka in Delhi, passing through Manesar, Bawal, Rewari, Behror, Manoharpura, Jaipur, Ajmer, Vijaynagar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Himmatnagar, Gandhinagar and will end in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. That is, this proposed corridor will pass through about 14 districts of four states including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
According to Sharma, this entire corridor will be elevated, that is, like a metro, it will be built at a height of nine to ten meters. On this high speed rail will run at a speed of about 300 and a half kilometers per hour and will reach Delhi to Ahmedabad in just 3.5 to four hours. It is proposed to build 14 stations on this rail corridor, including Dwarka in Delhi and Manesar and Rewari in Haryana. The other stations will be Behror, Shahpura, Jaipur, Ajmer, Vijaynagar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Himmat Nagar and Gandhinagar. On completion of this project, India will be counted in the high speed rail category of 15 countries of the world.
