The stock market lost early gains, Sun Pharma-Tech Mahindra’s stock made a big jump
The last trading day of the week saw volatility in the Indian stock market. There was an edge in the market in the early trade which could not be sustained till the last. At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 52,586.84, down 66.23 points. Talking about Nifty, it closed below 15,770 points. During this period, the shares of banking and finance companies proved to be top losers. SBI, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank shares closed on the red mark.
Sun Pharma Top Gainer, the pharmaceutical company Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, gained 10 per cent on the BSE index and closed at Rs 774. The company reported a net profit of Rs 1,444.17 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021. Sun Pharma told the stock exchange that it had a net loss of Rs 1,655.60 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Apart from this, the stock of major IT company Tech Mahindra has gained up to 8 percent.

During this period, Tech Mahindra’s profit grew by 39.2 percent to Rs 1,353.2 crore. Tech Mahindra reported that the company had reported a net profit of Rs 972.3 crore (after minority interest) in the same period a year ago. The company’s revenue for the June 2021 quarter stood at Rs 10,197.6 crore as against Rs 9,106.3 crore in the year-ago period. In this way his revenue increased by 12 percent.

The Sensex closed at 52,653.07, up 209.36 points, or 0.40 per cent. Talking about the Nifty, it gained 69.05 points or 0.44 percent to close at 15,778.45. Tata Steel was the top gainer of 6.87 per cent among the Sensex stocks.
