Rupee breaks 13 paise
The rupee fell 13 paise to 74.42 per dollar in the interbank currency market today due to weakening of the domestic equity market coupled with pressure created by the strengthening of the US currency against major world currencies.
The rupee was at 74.29 per dollar in the previous session.
Rupee today opened with a depreciation of one paisa at Rs 74.30 per dollar. During the session, it ranged between a low of Rs 74.44 per dollar and a high of Rs 74.27 per dollar. In the end, compared to the previous day, it slipped 13 paise to Rs 74.42 per dollar.
