Uttarakhand / Mussoorie : State government adopting indifferent attitude towards businessmen: Sahni
President of Uttarakhand Hotel Association, Sandeep Sahni said that the state government is adopting a neutral attitude towards the businessmen of Uttarakhand. Whereas the government should try to promote tourism in the state by taking positive decisions. He demanded from the state government that the government should try to start Chardham Yatra. In a press conference organized in a hotel auditorium located in Kuldi Bazar on Sunday, Uttarakhand Hotel Association President Sandeep Sahni expressed concern that if the government does not open the Chardham Yatra, then the economic system here will collapse completely. Chardham Yatra is a symbol of faith and religion, while it is also the basis of livelihood of the people of Uttarakhand. Due to Corona infection, business and economy have come to a standstill here for two years, but the government is not doing anything in this direction. The situation is that the businessmen here have to come out on the streets and agitate. He said that when Himachal and Goa are open, then why is the Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand closed. Why is Hemkund closed when the Golden Temple of Amritsar is open? Why is Badrinath closed when Tirupati is open? The state government announced some relief to the hotel industry, it is welcome, but this time nothing has been received so far. On the occasion, Rajat Aggarwal, president of the trade union said that this is a serious matter, but the government is not giving importance to the businessmen, while it is the backbone of tourism. He said that the government did not give any relief to the businessmen, no relief in electricity, water bills, no relief in house tax and other areas. Hotel Association Mussoorie President RN Mathur said that the government should cooperate in promoting tourism. Because only tourism can strengthen the economy of the state government. Secretary of Mussoorie Hotel Association Sanjay Agarwal, Shailendra Karnwal, Rajat Kapoor, Harshada Vohra, trade union general secretary Jagjit Kukreja were present on the occasion.
