Bihar / Banka : In Bihar, the son of former RJD MLA was shot by criminals

Praful Chandra Yadav alias Pappu Yadav, son of former MLA Bhola Prasad Yadav of Katoria area of Banka district of Bihar was shot dead by criminals. The son of the former MLA was seriously injured in this incident. The cause of the incident is not yet known but the police is investigating the matter by linking it to the upcoming panchayat elections. A police officer said on Monday that Pappu, son of a former RJD MLA, was coming to his house in Bounsi from Kushmaha village on Sunday night, when criminals who had already ambushed him near Jabra village, raked his bike and opened fire on him. Taking advantage, they fled.
On hearing the sound of bullets, the people of the surrounding gathered and were taken to the Bounsi Referral Hospital in an injured condition. Where after first aid he was referred to Bhagalpur. The doctors have declared him out of danger.

Police officers say that he has been shot in the waist. Bounsi police station in-charge Rajkishore Singh said that the police, who arrived after getting information about the incident, started investigating the matter. He said that raids are being conducted to nab the criminals.

According to the police, the reasons for the incident are not yet known, but it is feared that Pappu may have been targeted by criminals for the upcoming panchayat elections.

According to the relatives of the former MLA, Pappu was presenting a claim for the post of headman in the panchayat elections this time, which his opponents were not liking. Police has started investigation of the case from all angles. No arrest has been reported so far in this incident.
