Chattisgarh / Raipur : Five arrested for smuggling ganja in four wheeler, ganja worth 4 lakh 38 thousand seized
- Used to smuggle ganja in the vehicle by putting different number plates
- All the accused are residents of Orissa
In Kharora area of Chhattisgarh, police arrested 5 people smuggling ganja in Mahindra vehicle and seized 73 kg of ganja from the vehicle.
According to the information received, on August 3, around 3 pm, while checking the vehicles at Azad Chowk Arang Road in front of village Budera Kanha Traders, the white car of the number given by the informer going from Arang towards Budera, Mahindra TUV CG 04 LT 9400 was seized and 73 kg ganja filled in 3 sacks in the vehicle, estimated value of 4 lakh 38 thousand and TUV vehicle has been confiscated. On questioning the five people in the vehicle, he gave his name to the police Balram Daura father Bhaskar Daura 34 years resident Gokaranpur police station Digapohadi district Ganjam Orissa, Ranjit Sig Bahuk father Lal Sig Bahuk 31 years resident Paikmal police station Paikmal district Bargarh Orissa, Tikelal Bhati father Gurek Bhati 35 years resident Ichhapur police station Dogripali district Sonpur Orissa, Rajen Seth father Rankmani Seth 37 years resident of Agalpur police station Loisiga district Balagir Orissa 5. Dileshwar Daura Praful Daura 27 years resident of Uchbahal police station Loisiga district Balagir Orissa has been told. Number plates of two different numbers have also been recovered from the possession of the accused. Action has been taken against all the accused under Section 20B of the Narcotics Act by taking them into custody.
