Series 1-0 to Pakistan after the fourth T20 match was washed out by rain

West Indies and Pakistan both suffered another disappointing day as the fourth and final T20I match between the two teams also got washed out after three overs of play. With the match being canceled due to rain, the four-match series was 1-0 in Pakistan’s name.
The second match of the series was the only match that was completed, in which the visiting team Pakistan defeated the hosts by seven runs and won the series. Earlier, nine in the opening match and only 1.2 overs in the third match could be played.
It is noteworthy that Cricket West Indies and Pakistan Cricket Board mutually agreed to cut one match from this originally scheduled five-match series, as the West Indies-Australia ODI series played earlier was affected by Corona. These four matches of the series were extremely important for both the teams as both the teams are heading towards the T20 World Cup later this year.
In the fourth match, in view of the rainy weather, the host West Indies team won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Andre Fletcher scored 14 runs in the opening over against veteran Pakistan spinner Mohammad Hafeez, while Universe boss Chris Gayle scored 12 runs in the next over against Mohammad Wasim Jr. Hasan Ali brought the run rate under control for four runs in the third over and after these three overs rain affected the match and in the end the officials had to cancel the match.
