Folk singer Narendra Singh Negi celebrated 72nd birthday with simplicity
Folk singer Narendra Singh Negi celebrated his 72nd birthday with utmost simplicity amid wishes from fans. The day of Negida started with the worship of the year fruit at Kandoli residence in the morning. The puja was completed in the presence of wife Usha Negi, son Kavilas and other relatives. After this, the round of messages and meeting of fans started. Throughout the day, Negi da kept hosting the visitors to his house. Later in the afternoon a book based on him was released by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence. Negida interacted directly with the fans through the Chhavi Bath Lagala program of songs on the Pahari Connect page by the Kalash Trust organization from 7:30 late in the evening. Many organizations, institutions also wished him a happy birthday. Acharya Chandraprakash Mamgain of Uttarakhand Vidvat Sabha said that Happy Birthday to the Sartaj of Dharma Culture. PN Sati wrote that everlasting best wishes to the great poet, lyricist, folk singer, who melded the whole form of Garhwal, the heart of the mountain. Bhupendra Singh Kunwar posted his self-composed poem on Negida on social media in 2016. Hundreds of people posted their photos with Negi Da. Sunil Purohit dedicated the hand drawn sketch to Negi Da.
