On the request of Uttarakhand CM Dhami, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari gave assurance of Pilibhit-Khatima National Highway
On the request of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured for Pilibhit-Khatima National Highway. This was requested by the Chief Minister during his meeting with the Union Minister on Wednesday. Union Minister Gadkari accepted the request of Chief Minister Dhami and directed the officers of his ministry to take necessary action.
This proposed National Highway will be built from Khatima Nagar located in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand state to Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh state, which will be found in Pilibhit by National Highway-74, whose length will be about 38 km, whose 13 km division is Uttarakhand and 25. KM division is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
This National Highway will connect with Sitarganj-Tanakpur-Pithoragarh National Highway No. 125 (New National Highway No. 09) at Khatima.
State route number 04 from Khatima Nagar to Pilibhit is already built in two lane carriageway (7.00 m) up to 13 km length, after that 25 km length of road is situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh which goes to Pilibhit whose carriage They are also two lanes (7.00m). With the formation of this National Highway, the marginal area of Udham Singh Nagar district, Khatima, and the Tanakpur area of Champawat district and the marginal areas of Pithoragarh district will be able to connect with the national main stream. From the point of view of tourism, the world famous Ma Purnagiri Dham located in Champawat and Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Pithoragarh district will also provide easy transport facility to the countrymen, and economic, educational, social upgradation of this area will happen at a fast pace.
In this area, Rudrapur to Sitarganj Pilibhit, Sitarganj to Khatima – Tanakpur Pithoragarh are declared National Highways from the east. Due to the declaration of the state road from Pilibhit to Khatima in the length of 38 km as National Highway, all the main roads of this area will come under the category of National Highways.
