More than 52 crore 95 lakh anti-COVID vaccines have been administered in the country so far

Coverage of COVID -19 vaccination in India has reached close to 53 crores. According to the provisional report till 7 am today, a total of 52,95,82,956 doses of vaccine were administered through 60,40,607 sessions. In the last 24 hours, 57,31,574 doses of the vaccine were administered.

The new chapter of COVID-19 vaccination for all began on June 21, 2021. The Central Government is committed to increase the coverage of COVID -19 vaccination across the country and speed up the process.

The recovery rate in India has reached 97.46 percent in the last 24 hours. This is the highest recovery rate in India since the beginning of the pandemic. Of the people infected since the start of the pandemic, 3,13,02,345 people have already recovered from COVID-19, and 42,295 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. During the last 24 hours, 40,120 daily new cases were reported in India. For 47 consecutive days, less than 50 thousand daily cases are coming. This is the result of concerted and sustained efforts of the Center and the States/UTs. The number of active cases in India has been recorded at 3,85,227. Active cases now account for 1.20 percent of the total positive cases in the country, which is the lowest rate since March 2020.

Testing capacity in the country is being continuously increased, a total of 19,70,495 tests were conducted in the country during the last 24 hours. Basically, India has conducted more than 48.94 crore (48,94,70,779) tests so far. On one hand the testing capacity was increased across the country, on the other hand the weekly positivity rate was 2.13 percent at this time and the daily positivity rate was 2.04 percent today. The daily positivity rate has remained below three per cent for the last 18 days and has remained below five per cent for 67 consecutive days.
