Uttar Pradesh : Secondary schools will now open only five days a week

The secondary schools, which will open from August 16, will open only for five days. Schools will not be opened on Saturdays. The duty of 60 officers has been imposed for the inspection of schools across the state on the day the schools will open. Aradhana Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education Department has issued an order in this regard. Schools for classes 9 to 12 are being opened from August 16.

Special secretaries Shambhu Kumar, Neha Prakash, Uday Bhanu Tripathi have been given the responsibility of Barabanki, Fatehpur, Mirzapur. Similarly, Education Director Vinay Pandey has been appointed to Lucknow, Additional Director Manju Sharma to Sitapur, Mahendra Dev to Meerut, Anjana Goyal to Pratapgarh, UP Board Secretary Divyakant Shukla to Prayagraj, JD Bareilly Ajay Kumar to Badaun and Shajahanpur, JD Varanasi Pradi Kumar to Chandauli and Jaunpur, DD Vikas Srivastava has been given the responsibility of Varanasi. 60 officers including Diet Principal and Vice Principal, Assistant Director, Senior Specialist will have to inspect.

Everyone has to supervise the system of at least one and minimum 10 schools in different block or city or rural area. The inspection report will have to be sent to the directorate by evening. The schools where deficiencies are found will be resolved by the Director of Education and Secretary, UP Board.

Schools will run in two shifts from 8 am to 12 am and 12.30 to 4.30 pm, leave should not be done simultaneously

  • 50% children in one shift, sanitizer, thermal scanning, pulse oximeter, first aid system
  • In case of any signs of infection, students or teachers should be sent back home.
