Airtel and Jio spectrum deal completed
The agreement between two telecom service providers Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio Infocomm to use Airtel’s 800 MHz spectrum in three circles by Jio has been completed.
Airtel said in a statement issued here today that Jio has paid Rs 1004.8 crore to it for this deal and Jio will now also meet the spectrum related liabilities of Rs 469.3 crore.
Airtel had entered into a spectrum transfer deal with Jio which required regulatory approval. The deal has been completed after all the formalities have been completed by Jio in this regard.
