So far 66 patients infected with the delta form of corona virus have been found in Maharashtra and 5 of them have died. Some of these 66 patients had received both doses of the vaccine. The state health department gave this information on Friday. These cases came up in the genome sequencing test of samples taken from different parts of the state. The first case of death of a 63-year-old woman has been reported in Mumbai due to infection of Delta Plus form of corona virus.

An official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that the elderly woman, who lost her life to this form of the virus in the last week of July, was given both doses of the anti-Covid vaccine. BMC officials said that at least two other people who were in close contact with the woman after her death have also been confirmed to be infected with this form of the virus. This form of the virus is highly contagious.

The maximum 13 cases of Delta Plus form have come from Jalgaon in northern Maharashtra. At the same time, 12 cases have come from Ratnagiri and 11 from Mumbai. Rest of the cases are from other places. Let us tell you that the most frightening thing is that even after taking both the vaccines of Corona, now there are reports of people dying from Delta.

Significantly, now Corona is raising its head once again in Maharashtra. On Friday, 6686 corona cases were found in Maharashtra and 158 people died. Due to this, the total corona cases in Maharashtra increased to 6382076 and the number of deaths to 134730.
