I was very nervous while kissing: Diksha Singh

From being a successful model to making her acting debut with Sony Liv and Maddock Outsider’s latest web show ‘Chutzpaah’, Diksha Singh has come a long way. The actress has been highly appreciated for her stellar portrayal of her character Nina in the show, which she describes as layered and performance-oriented.

Diksha, who was a runner up in the 2015 Femina Miss India pageant, faced the most important challenge she faced while performing a kissing scene with co-star Kshitij Chauhan in her debut show.

Diksha says, I was nervous to know that I had to perform a kissing scene in my debut web show. It was a very new thing for me and that too on the first day of shooting. The idea was to make it very natural and effortless. When I informed Simarpreet, the director of the show that I was very conscious about this scene, he understood my concern and suggested me and Kshitij to spend some time together and be comfortable with myself as he too was a bit nervous. . After a few retakes the shot went well.

Talking about her debut in the world of acting, Diksha further says, Neena is a layered character and I am happy to get the opportunity to portray a performance-oriented character in my first web show. I consider Neena to be a superhero as she does her work effortlessly on the show. Streaming on Sony LIV from 23rd July, ‘Chutzpah’ has received praise from audiences, industry and critics for its unique concept, scintillating performances and ensemble cast. Getting great reviews.
