Narayan Rane under threat of arrest for remarks against Uddhav Thackeray, BJP-Shiv Sena workers clash

The bitterness is increasing between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena, which were once ‘allies’ in power in Maharashtra and the Centre. Workers of both the parties clashed with each other in Mumbai on Tuesday over Union Minister Narayan Rane’s remarks against Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. It is worth mentioning that Shiv Sena workers have filed a case against Union Minister Rane in this matter. Has happened. Later in this context, he made a controversial statement against Uddhav Thackeray.
During the ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ in Raigad district on Monday, Rane said, “It is shameful that the Chief Minister does not know how many years it has been since independence. During the speech, he was seen looking back and inquiring about it. Had I been there, I would have given him a hard slap.” The special thing is that Rane himself had once lived in Shiv Sena. Rane, who was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, was earlier in Shiv Sena, later he switched to Congress and then, in 2019, he joined BJP. After this the politics of Maharashtra was heated.
This statement of Rane was strongly condemned by Shiv Sena. Party workers had put up posters in Mumbai and several other places in which Rane was described as a ‘kombdi chor’ (chicken thief). Rane used to run a ‘poultry’ shop in Chembur about five decades ago. A case has been registered against Narayan Rane in Nashik Police, Nashik Cyber and Pune Police. 36 FIRs have been registered. 19 FIRs were registered on the first day and 17 FIRs were registered on the second day.
