Uttar Pradesh / Kanpur : A case will be filed for putting banned barbed wire in the pargana. – RK Rajvanshi Sub Collector

On Friday, Sub-Collector RK Rajvanshi gave information about the barbed wire, the Deputy Collector said that now farmers will not be able to put barbed wire with blades on the bund of the field for crop protection. Under the direction of the district administration, the Tehsil administration has banned the wire to prevent animal cruelty. On the instructions of the Special Secretary, the DM has also issued orders to all the SDMs and SHOs. Referring to the mandate issued on July 13, 2021, he has advised to use ordinary wire or rope in place of bladed, barbed wire.
In the pargana, destitute animals roam in abundance. Animals roaming in the herds of hundreds, within a moment, consume the crop prepared with cost and hard work. Therefore, for crop protection, farmers use barbed wire with blades. Animals get injured by being hit by bladed wires. Now the government has banned the bladed wire. A case will be registered against the farmers who will use barbed wire with blades, causing unnecessary pain to animals, causing torture, amputation and unnecessarily cruel means of killing the animal and torturing the animal.
