The body of a driver was found inside the car in Chakeri on the night of August 23. According to police sources, during this time DCP East Anoop Kumar Singh had abused the mother on the wireless set to Chakeri police station in-charge Amit Tomar. Not only this, a few days ago, SI Manoj Pandey, who was the outpost in-charge of Jajmau, was also fiercely abused and indecent by DCP East. Being hurt by this, the outpost in-charge had written a letter for VRS from the job, citing his antics. It is also discussed that DCP East got drunk after evening.

Indecency with police personnel was becoming common. Dissatisfaction was spreading among the Thanedars of Kanpur Commissionerate when the cases came to light one after the other. Police Commissioner Aseem Arun took cognizance of the matter and complained. After this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of this and ordered direct action by calling DGP Mukul Goyal and ACS Home Avnish Awasthi to the Chief Minister’s residence. Taking action on IPS Anoop Singh, the DGP has attached it to the DGP office (Police Headquarters) on Friday.

The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
