Bangladesh plane landed in Nagpur after pilot suffered a heart attack, 126 passengers were on board

The aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines took off for Dhaka after 11 hours, but the pilot’s condition is still critical. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. An official gave this information on Saturday. There were 126 passengers in this Boeing plane going from Dhaka to Muscat. The aircraft had made an emergency landing in Nagpur at 11.40 am on Friday due to the heart attack of the pilot.
A senior official at the Nagpur airport told PTI, “Biman Bangladesh arranged for alternate crew members who came to Nagpur. After this, the aircraft took off towards its destination with passengers at 10.37 pm on Friday.
He said the pilot is still critical and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Nagpur. Sources said the pilot has been admitted to Kingsway Hospital, located about 10 km from Nagpur airport.
He said that when the plane was near Raipur, Kolkata ATC was contacted to make an emergency landing, after which it was advised to land at the nearest Nagpur airport. The assistant pilot landed the aircraft in Nagpur.
Biman Bangladesh has recently resumed flight services to India. Air travel services between the two countries were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
