Delhi government sends recommendation to Center for Padma awards

Names of three doctors also included in the list of awards

The Delhi government has taken a big decision in the honor of the health workers. This time the government has sent the names of three doctors to the central government for the country’s highest award. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that we had received suggestions for the names of 9,427 people.

Kejriwal said that our committee headed by Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has selected the names of three doctors – Dr. SK Sareen from ILBS, Dr. Suresh Kumar from LNJP and Dr. Sandeep Budhiraja from Max Hospital for Padma awards. Let us inform that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had already announced that the people of Delhi will name whose names the Delhi government will send to the Center for Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards. Any citizen of Delhi can send the name of any doctor or health worker by August 15 with complete information. A search and screening committee was also formed under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for this. The Chief Minister had also said in the media interaction that the Delhi government is the only government in the entire country, which has given an honorarium of one crore rupees each to the families of health workers and frontline workers who were martyred while serving the people during the Corona period.
