In Delhi’s hospitals, appointments will be available sitting at home instead of long lines, all hospitals will be on one platform
The cabinet meeting of Delhi Government was held on Saturday. During this many important decisions were taken. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that under the Health Information Management System, all the hospitals of Delhi are being linked together and brought on one platform. A portal is being created, through which we will know how many beds are vacant in which hospital, how many medicines are in which hospital, staff and medical status will be known at the click of a button. There will be no need to stand in long lines in hospitals, you can fix appointments with doctors over the phone and go to the hospital on time. The contract to build this complete system has been given to NEC company today. This is a complete project of 130 crores. Money has also been sanctioned for this and has been given to this company.
He told that about 7000 new beds are being prepared in the government hospital, this huge increase is for health infrastructure. There are 10,000 beds in Delhi government hospitals in Delhi today. Now 6800 beds are being increased. This is a 70 percent increase in this way, which is not a small thing. These beds will be ready within 6 months. On one hand, if there is a wave of corona, it will help, but even if the wave does not come, then it will make 7000 new beds for the people of Delhi permanently.
Decision has been taken regarding door step delivery of services. There are about one hundred and fifty services in Delhi, which, on calling 1076 phone number, come to your home and give your work to the government. This is the only service of its kind in the entire country, the contract of the company which was providing this service till now is being completed this month. By making this service better in a new way, by making it stronger, tenders will be taken out again. The cabinet has taken a decision regarding this.
He said that many changes have been made in this, like 1076 will be made toll free. Earlier, the entire Delhi was managed by one company, but now it is being divided into two parts so that there is a kind of competition between them. If the work of one company is not good, then another company can be involved, many such changes have been made.
