Transfer of vehicles will be easy, new vehicles will now have separate registration mark

Now there will be no hassle in getting the transfer vehicles to take the vehicles from one state to another. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has come up with a new scheme for easy transfer of vehicles. Under the new system, a new type of registration mark will be given on new vehicles under the Bharat series (BH-series). The ministry gave this information on Saturday. It is believed that due to this, every year lakhs of vehicles are transferred from one state to another in the country, it will not take paperwork and time.
The ministry said that the government has taken several citizen-centric steps to facilitate vehicular movement. IT based solution for registration of vehicles is also one such effort. However, one point that needed attention in the vehicle registration process was that of re-registration of the vehicle while moving from one state to another.”
Both government and private sector employees are transferred. In such a situation, it becomes a hassle for them to take the vehicle from one state to another and then transfer their registration. Under section 47 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, a person is not allowed to keep a vehicle for more than 12 months in any state other than the state in which the vehicle is registered.
In order to facilitate the transfer of vehicles, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways introduced a new registration mark for new vehicles in a notification dated 26 August. If a vehicle is registered in the Bharat series, then the owner of the vehicle will not have to get a new registration if it is taken to any other state.
This vehicle registration facility under “Bharat Series (BH-Series)” is available for Defense personnel, employees of Central Government/State Government/Central/State Public Sector Undertakings and Private Sector Companies/Organizations (whose offices in four or more State/Union Territories). be available in the state) on voluntary basis.
