US attacks ISIS-K ‘conspirator in Afghanistan’

Kabul attack retaliation
US conducts drone strike against Islamic State’s ‘conspirator’ in Afghanistan. The US retaliated less than 48 hours after the suicide bombings at Kabul airport. 169 Afghan and 13 American soldiers were killed in the attack. US Central Command spokesman Captain Bill Urban said on Friday, “The US military today launched an anti-terrorist operation against the Islamic State-Khorasan (ISK) conspirators.” This unmanned airstrike took place in Nangar province of Afghanistan. There are initial indications that we have killed the target person. We have information of no civilian casualties. Earlier, the White House said that President Joe Biden does not want to leave alive the terrorists who attacked Kabul airport. “I think he made it clear yesterday that he doesn’t want to leave him alive on Earth,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said at her regular news conference. However, it is not yet known whether ISIS-K conspirators were involved in Thursday’s attack on Kabul airport. The Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP), an affiliate of the Islamic State in Afghanistan, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The US President pledged to avenge the deaths of 13 American soldiers killed in the attack and told the terrorists responsible, “We will kill you and you will pay the price.”
