Such a divine philosophy of humanity and knowledge in Sanskrit literature : Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Sanskrit language through its ideas and literature nurtures and strengthens the unity of knowledge, science and nation. On Sunday, in the address of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Shri Modi said that there is such a divine philosophy of humanity and knowledge in Sanskrit literature that can attract anyone.

He referred to the Sanskrit scholar and teacher Rutger Courtenhorst from Ireland, Dr. Chirapat Prapandavidya and Dr. Kusuma Rakshamani from Thailand, Professor Boris Zakharin from Russia and Sydney Sanskrit School in Australia as international scholars and institutions teaching Sanskrit language to students. And also organize programs like Sanskrit Natak and Sanskrit Divas.

Shri Modi said, the efforts that have been made in recent times have brought a new awareness about Sanskrit. Now is the time to increase our efforts in this direction. It is the duty of all of us to cherish our heritage, to handle it, to give it to the new generation and future generations also have a right on it. Now is the time to increase everyone’s efforts for these works too.

Appreciating a ‘Radio Jockey’ (RJ) member group from Gujarat engaged in the promotion of Sanskrit, the Prime Minister said, RJ Ganga is a member of RJ Toli of Gujarat. His companions are RJ Neelam, RJ Guru and RJ Hetal. All these people are working together to increase the value of Sanskrit language in Gujarat, in Kevadiya.
