Uttarakhand / Roorkee : Organized Sadbhavna March on the occasion of Sports Day
Roorkee Lion Hub for Promotion of Sport Group organized a Sadbhavna March on the occasion of Sports Day. It was attended by prominent sports coaches as well as players. Before the Sadbhavna March at Agrasen Chowk in Roorkee, all the players paid tribute by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Major Dhyan Chand. Speakers spoke about their contribution to the country in the form of sports and called for inspiration from their lives. Program coordinator Hemant Sharma said that there is no dearth of talent in Roorkee. Each player must advance his game by setting his own goal. Coach PK Rathi said that the players of the country have brought glory to the country by achieving achievements in the recently held Olympics in Tokyo. He said that all the young players should take inspiration from him. The Sadbhavna March started from Agrasen Chowk, Roorkee’s Boat Club and concluded at Agrasen Chowk via Roorkee Talkies Chowk, Civil Lines Bazaar, New Bridge. In the march, coaches of various sports, international, national and state level players participated, the march was conducted by Arun Sharma. On this occasion PK Rathi, Piyush Sharma, Vinod Mudappi, Pankaj Sharma, Ajay Rathi, Saket Verma, Manjit Rana, Vivek Manglik, Dr. Sanjay Jain, Sachin Gupta, Deepak Vaish, Mukesh Chaudhary, Wasim Akram, Anil Sharma, Akhilesh Sharma, Satyendra Goyal, Rajkumar Gupta, Ravi Sharma, Nishant etc. were present.
