Corona curfew extended till 6th September in Goa

The Goa government has extended the statewide curfew till September 6 in view of the increasing cases of corona virus. A notification to this effect was issued on August 29. The curfew was imposed on May 9 during the second wave of corona in the state and has been increasing continuously since then. Barring a few casinos, most of the activities have resumed in the state.

This coastal state had the highest number of 51 per cent Covid cases during the second wave of the pandemic. On Sunday, 74 new cases of corona were found in Goa and two patients died due to this epidemic. A total of 1,73,791 people have been found infected in the state so far and 3,195 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic and 1,69,651 people have defeated Corona. Apart from this, there are 945 active cases who are being treated in various hospitals.
