Students and girls will study in different classes in Afghanistan : Taliban

In Afghanistan, now boys and girls will study in separate classes. Speaking at a higher education conference in Kabul, Haqqani said girls have the right to education, but they cannot study in the same class with boys.

He also promised that universities would reopen soon and salaries would be paid to teachers and ministry employees. The conference was attended by university professors, academicians and former officials of the ministry. Women’s rights in the country remain a matter of concern after the Taliban rule in Afghanistan. Earlier in August, the Taliban said women would be allowed to study and work as well as participate in government activities. On Tuesday, the Taliban said government women officials would be able to resume their work after working out the necessary rules.
