The young man was upset due to family discord, mother died two months ago
A person named Abhijeet Majumdar (40) committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor of Kedarnath Apartment located in Vijay Garden of Birsanagar police station area. The deceased’s brother Abhishek Majumdar lives in the same apartment. The mother of the deceased had passed away two months back. Local people after seeing the dead body informed the police. Police has sent the body for postmortem. The brothers of the deceased also reached the spot. Abhishek Majumdar told- Abhijeet lives separately from his wife Neelakshi Majumdar. He also has a 12 year old daughter. Brother’s wife Nilakshi is an employee of Tata Motors. They do not know where the brother lived. When his mother died two months ago, he had come home to perform Shradh. Here, the police scanned the CCTV footage installed in the apartment. The CCTV footage showed Abhijeet going to the terrace through the lift at 5.09 am. After staying there for some time, he jumped from the roof at 5.36 am. Police is considering family dispute as the reason for the suicide. At one time Ranjeet’s family was facing financial crisis. His father was responsible for running the big family. The family had been in shock for many years after the murder of Ranjit’s elder brother Jairam Sharma. But after starting the work of getting admission in educational institutions, within a few years, the situation of the family changed. Today Ranjit has expensive luxury cars. Ranjeet’s family For a long time Ranjeet’s family lived in the charter housing colony of NIT personnel located at Adityapur Shiv Mandir. Ranjit’s family now lives in a new house in Hariam Nagar Janki Apartment Road. There are four or five shops of this family near NIT Jamshedpur. He had bought commercial land on Adityapur Kandra Main Road four years ago for four crores. Ranjit would also do business of building and land. Ranjeet’s father retired as drafts man in NIT Jamshedpur. He sent Ranjith to Bangalore to study engineering. During his studies, he came in contact with the gang who got admission in engineering colleges. He started admitting the children of his acquaintances. Soon he became Munnabhai. He made crores of wealth by solving paper. Ranjit is the operator of a consultancy named EDU India located at Adityapur Main Road. He had opened a consultancy here 10 years ago. He currently runs his syndicate living in Pune. On Thursday, the CBI team took Sonu Thakur, Ranjit’s helper in the enrollment game in engineering colleges, into custody and taken to Ranchi. During the interrogation of CBI, Sonu Thakur had talked about working for Ranjit. Sonu and Ranjit are relatives.
