Uttar Pradesh / Fatehpur : Communicable disease control campaign will run from seven to prevent Dengue and Malaria

  • 52 teams in rural areas and five teams in urban areas will monitor
  • Adequate arrangements in hospitals for the treatment of the infected

Under the special sensitization and communicable disease control campaign, a communicable disease control campaign is being run from 7-16 September for the prevention of diseases like dengue and malaria in the district. In which beds have been reserved for proper arrangement in district hospitals, CHCs and PHCs for alerting hospitals as well as spraying anti-larva medicines and for proper treatment of patients when they are found. Arrangements are being made for awareness and investigation by sending teams from village to village. On the beginning of the special sensitization and communicable disease control fortnight, the District Magistrate and Apoorva Dubey and Chief Medical Officer GK Maheshwari said these things during a conversation with the reporters.

While talking to reporters at Gandhi Auditorium, Collectorate on Sunday, District Magistrate Apoorva Dubey said that awareness campaign is being conducted under special fortnight to prevent infectious diseases like dengue and malaria. He said that 52 teams including ASHA, Anganwadi and helpers have been deployed in rural areas for awareness and anti-larva spraying for prevention of dengue and malaria fever, while five teams are working in urban areas. For the treatment of infected patients, 10 beds have been kept in the district hospital. By reserving two beds in PHC and five beds in CHC, the infected can be treated better. He said that people are being made aware by inspecting the villages. Told that dengue and malaria mosquitoes breed in clean water, for which do not allow water to stagnate in coolers and other places. Alternative dosages of Anti Larva are available at health centres. Banners, posters for awareness and malaria medicines are available in PHCs and CHCs for the treatment of patients. Special arrangements have been made for cleanliness in the villages. Source reduction work is being done through Asha Bahus along with fever survey. Spraying of anti larva is being done in the flood affected areas. CDO Satya Prakash was present on this occasion.
